Attended INSIGHT conference on "The New Regulations Governing Natural Health Products (Toronto, Sept.15-16, 2003).
Attended the NHPD information sessions on Natural Health Products Regulations, which was held in Toronto, and Ottawa.
Trained on the ISO 9001:2000 Family of Standards (the training is approved by the International Auditor and Training Certification Association, IATCA and the German Registrar RWTUV-USA, and provided by California ISO 9000 Consulting).
Basic Communication Skills used in Auditing. This is a distance learning program conducted by the International Association for Continuing Education & Training and J.P. Russell & Associate (2003).
Attended the ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor course. This training course was conducted by SGS CANADA INC. in Mississauga, (Ontario January 26-30, 2004).
Completed two training programs on food quality and safety (Hazard Analysis and Critical Point Programs). HACCP I: Documenting your HACCP Prerequisite Program. And HACCP II: Development of Your HACCP Plan. Programs conducted by the Guelph Food Technology Centre (Ontario, September 20-24, 2004).
Attended Health Canada industry workshops on Product and Site Licensing (Ontario, November 2004).
EXPERIENCE
1. Worked for eight years (1993-1998), for Abbott Laboratories (International Division). Last title was, "Head of
Medica and Regulatory Affairs Department".
Responsibilities:
Develop registration strategy and implement regulatory plan for product registration.
Review and approve promotional materials, product information, labels and other materials for regulatory compliance.
Adopt Abbott Standard Operating Procedures with regards of Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Studies implementation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental policies and laws.
Plan and direct Clinical Trials according to Abbott Policy, FDA regulations, ICH guidelines and local requirements.
Respond to products’ complains and recalls as per Abbott policies, and procedures.
Participate with MOH team to inspect manufacturing site (before licensing the site to source a new product).
2. Worked for five years for MOH in Saudi Arabia in the position of Nutritionist.
My responsibilities include inspection of all government hospitals to assess the catering company’s compliance to the MOH requirements.
The objective is to ensure that catering companies are producing therapeutic Meals according to the written specifications.
Our scope of investigation, include: The quality of raw materials, people skills, and, qualifications, kitchen equipments, sanitation status, and to compare the meals nutritional contents with patients health status.
